Want to know what ingredient to substitute for your favorite meal?

 

 

Look no further!  This page is all about what you can swap out to stay within the Isa-friendly foods and ingredients, but still let you eat what you want. Whether you're looking to make Chicken Piccata or a pizza, there are substitutions available.

 

Swap:

  • Milk with Almond Milk or Coconut Milk*

  • Replace Flour with Brown Rice Flour, Almond Flour or Quinoa Flour

  • Vegetable Oil, Butter, or Corn Oil for Coconut Oil or Olive Oil or Sugarless Green applesauce

  • White Wine for Lemon and Olive Oil

  • Ground beef for Ground Turkey/Chicken

  • Bread Crumbs for Brown Rice Bread Crumbs

  • Pasta for Brown Rice Pasta or Quinoa Pasta (Beware of all ingredients here!)

  • Pasta for Zucchini, squash, or sweet potato spirals

  • Coffee - Green Tea

  • Mayo = Avocado or Hummus

  • Popcorn for Chickpeas or lentils

  • Bread for Ezekiel Bread

  • Wraps for Ezekiel Wraps

  • Peanut Butter subbed with Almond Butter

  • Potatoes for Sweet potatoes

  • Chicken/Veggie Broth = Organic Chicken/Veggie Broth with low sodium

  • Sugar for Cinnamon

  • Flour for Black Beans

  • Mashed Potatoes for Mashed turnips or Mashed Cauliflower

  • Spaghetti squash for Spagetti

  • Lettuce leaves for Wraps (Great for tacos!)

  • Ice Cream = Frozen Mashed Bananas (Isalean shake powder for flavor!)
